Where to work in Faro

Located in the Algarve region, Faro provides a lot of the basics that a remote worker could desire: reliable internet, different places to remote work from and a choice of places to visit in your down time (especially if you have a car).
If you’re looking for a more or less consistently warm destination, with mild winters and hot summers, Faro is the place for you. Such a climate is perfect for outdoor activities all year-round including hikes through the Ria Formosa Natural Park and trips to Faro Beach.
Compared to other cities, Faro offers a relatively affordable cost of living. Accommodation, food, and transportation are reasonably priced, allowing remote workers to live comfortably without breaking the bank. This affordability extends to coworking spaces and cafes, making it easy to find a budget-friendly place to work. Hinted to be the next tech hub on the Algarve (particularly with the connections from Faro airport), here are couple of the places I would recommend remote working from:
Chelsea Coffee & Brunch:
From what I understand, Chelsea Coffee & Brunch is a pretty safe bet for remote workers - and was in fact one of the places I visited most. Not just for the pancakes, but the decent wifi and coffee too. There’s plenty of seating (as far as I experienced out of season) and you can also choose between an indoor and outdoor set up.
Vegan Box
One of my little tricks I use to find places with decent wifi is to search for vegan restaurants and cafes, seriously. It’s hit and miss in a lot of destinations, but 8/10 a hit. And Vegan Box was no exception for both great wifi and food!
The Flower Bar
It’s as cute as it sounds, with flower mugs and saucers, pastel colours and a very fresh menu. I wish I had discovered this spot a little sooner in my week for the food alone, but the wifi situation was good. (It was kind of giving Faro’s version of KYND in Canggu vibes, if you’ve ever been?)
Although Faro wasn’t my favourite place along the Algarve, it is a great place to start a trip in the region. It has all of the necessities needed from cafes to work from to mini lunch break adventures around the Old Town. And if you’re looking for somewhere with a festival and party scene, this may also be for you.
Have you been to the Algarve yet?
