Where to work in Limassol
Cyprus was one of those destinations that pleasantly surprised me as a potential destination for digital nomads and remote workers. With generally consistent warm weather around the year, plenty to do outside of work and an indoor-outdoor lifestyle (for both work and leisure), I’d say life on this island has a lot to offer.
Limassol specifically is great for those looking for a more local vibe, with plenty of cafes, the beach and activities to take part in. Between work sessions, I enjoyed strolling through the streets and exploring hidden corners. I also found it relatively easy to connect with other remote workers and digital nomad-focussed initiatives (including communities and colivings) during the one week I spent in town.
While not the most budget-friendly destination in Europe, Limassol offers a good balance between cost and quality of life. Housing, dining, and entertainment options cater to various budgets, allowing remote workers to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle without breaking the bank.

Shopkeeper & Co
Absolutely one of my favourite cafes, but not always easy to get a seat if you don’t arrive early. There is actually a shared table for people wanting to cowork and it has a plug! If you’re looking for a yummy coffee - and some Fortnum & Mason merch (yep!) then look no further!
Sir Paul Hotel
A great option if you’re looking for an outdoor vibe - but out of the super warm Cyprus sun - and great coffee, I was able to get some work done at Sir Paul Hotel’s restaurant for a couple of hours.
Columbia Sun
After years of joking about not being able to get good wifi out on the beach, Columbia Sun made me eat my words. We worked both on the terrace and on the sun beds and I was able to enjoy great wifi for content tasks the entire time (and my feet in the sand). A little on the pricier end of course, and you will need a car to get here, we came back here twice we enjoyed things so much!
SOHO Office
I got to know SOHO while searching for different cowork spaces on Google and they gave me a trial day to test out the space. They were still building certain sections of the office when I went but it had everything needed to feel like you were going into an office for the day (including work out and recreational rooms) - and a community to connect with as well.
Although there is some political unrest on the island (mostly concentrated in the north), Cyprus is one of those destinations I’d like to spend more time in - or at least longer than a week - during the low season (apparently the sea is like a bath in the summer…). There are nomad projects and communities popping up constantly that make for a potentially exciting future there.
